At the moment we’re doing research etc. about the crash of RAF Vickers Wellington Mk. III bomber X3724 (KO-‘T’), S. of Vlieland island, in the Wadden Sea (Netherlands), 3rd of June 1942. One of the crew, Sgt. Eric Roland Harding, the Rear Gunner of the aircraft, serving with No.115 Sqdn. / RAF station Marham, is the younger brother of Corporal Leslie John Harding (serv. no. 644368), who was KIA in the Dieppe Raid (Operation ‘Jubilee’), 19th Aug. 1942, and who was serving with No.12
(Barrage) Balloon Centre, before at Titchfield town, in Hampshire (UK.) As far as known to us, his human remains washed ashore in West Flanders (date unkown), at least he is buried in the Oostduinkerke (Koksijde) Communal Cemetery row G, grave 174, as can be found also in your own records. Please, if there is known more information about him, about his recovery and ID check, his funeral and his grave too (bottom text of his grave marker), outside your public database/webside info, contact us. And please, visit in the meanwhile our website, page 17 / Vlieland via
